Each MISU JUJU print is carved on linoleum, then printed by hand in my cosy home studio. I love to experiment with colour and printing on specialty handmade paper.

Misu Juju is the creative playground of self-taught Naarm based (Melbourne) artist Julie Nguyen. What started in late 2019 as a passion project has become a space to explore whimsical ideas through lino printing and other crafty adventures. Julie loves getting inky and experimenting with handmade paper, smudges and all!

Inspired by Mellow Art’s theme of celebration, my cover is all about staying curious and following your joy, because you never know where it might lead you. That’s the spirit I carried when I first started Misu Juju: giving myself space to explore, play, and try new things just for the fun of it. I wanted to bottle up that feeling in this illustration. At its core, the message is simple: follow your heart, stay a little silly, and make time for the things that make you smile.
